Hello! My name is Jamie Fletcher,
and I am a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My father,
Don Fletcher, is a Korean War Veteran and has been avidly trying over
the past forty-some years to reach his associates and friends from his
military years.

He was in the Army Engineering Corps attached to the Air Force, known
as SCARWAF- 822nd Engineer Aviation Batallion. In 1951 and early 52',
they were located at Air Base K-2, near Tagu. They then went to the air
base at Pusan, built US Coast Guard Manned Laran Master Station,
Coast of Japan Sea near Hyaundi.

In fall of 1952, they moved to Marine fighter strip near Seoul, then
rotated stateside and out of service. In A-Company, construction
platoon, Brian Paulson was the platoon leader.

My family has been in search of this man, if anyone has any information,
please contact me as soon as possible. If there are any 822nd vets out
there, please let me know!!!

With much respect and admiration- Jamie Lynn Fletcher

The unit # 822nd EAB, Scarwaf We left Korea in 1955. The entire unit
went to Guam M. I. A couple of names come to mind Carlton Greenwood,
and Clarence Taylor.
By the way, it was "C" Co. I was surfacing one day and found a site
that was used to put down info on units and things we did in the
service but i have not been able to find it since. Any help?
