4th Signal Battalion

Subject: Info regarding the 4th Signal Battalion Corps
There seems to be no information regarding this unit which entered the
korean peninsular at the Inchon landing and as far as I know may still
be there.
The unit provided communications for various groups iover the whole
peninsular including the marines ,army and artillery units. Most of us
were presented with an additional Truman year due to having a critical
MOS. We left from PUSAN on converted Victory or liberty ship far
from a comfortable trip. Its been years since I've even thought of that
time and i just thought that some of the men i served with might still
be around .However, over the years most of the names have been
overwritten.

Looking for Korean Veterans assigned to the 4th Signal Battalion
supporting X Corps. Especially personnel assigned from April 1951 to
July 1952.
I have in my possession a 4th Signal Battalion Book which was printed
some time in 1951 which has pictures of just about everyone in the
Battalion during the summer of 1951 and it also includes a brief history
of the Battalion during WW11. The Battalion, as you may know,
was in the Inchon invasion. I was assigned to the unit in April 1951.

I served with the tenth corps, 4th sig bn, Able Co. from jan 53 to

Our Co. [my platoon] was responsible for getting and maintaining
communications via sprial 4 cable up to the MLR.
We were serving the 40th, 45th and 24th Inf. Div's in our sector.
I would like to recieve any information from anyone that knew me
or anyone that might remember the 4th signal in their areas.

My uncle (Eugenio Rosa) served 2/'52-2/'54 MOS 1644L or 16L44 at Yanguu
Valley.
He used to work on platform trucks as a linesman. he is looking for
some of his buddies: Sgt. Ramon Wilfredo Aponte, Agustin Pineiro, Luis
Valderrama and Sgt Charle Frost. My uncle thinks that Sgts. Aponte and
Frost retired in the 70's. And he would like to get in touch with them
in support of a V.A. claim.
