I served in charlie company from jan. 51-june-51. i was not at kojo, however i have done some research on the battle at kojo as charlie company took many casualties. baker company took the brunt of the attack as you may know. my research shows that only sgt marcantane is missing, and corpsmen , hn 3 was killed . the information i have is that the following marines were killed on the night of oct. 27,1950: pfc victor atwell, pfc george bayerfiend, sgt george brown pfc stephen hall, cpl patrick hoolahan, pfc roy powell sgt clayton roberts, hn3 dorin stafford, pfc edward toto, pfc fredrick williams and pfc harry worden. pfc ernest corin is listed as killed on oct. 30 but the battalion was not in action at that time, he could have died from wounds recieved on the 27th. i see jack s fischer pvt 1026537 listed on the battllion roster but i have not found nothing else on him, i will continue to look for more infromation on him. i have found that the offfical records contain mistakes. my research may also contain errors. i will continue to look for information on jack. keep in touch john welch, in moss point, ms.
