I was in Plt. 70 with Sgt Suggs and Sgt Foxworth as the DI's. A Cpl. Laben was with us at the range and when spending the 2 weeks on mess. We were told that our Platoon was the first to qualify 100% on the range but I sort of think that was smoke. Last I knew Suggs was living well in Florida but the others I have never been able to locate. I planned to visit P.I. this spring but spent some time between the sheets and never made the trip. Is anything the same there after all these years? Do they ever have Platoon reunions at P.I?

Hey Pops,
Being that you were in a much lower number platoon I thought that I would write and ask you this: first I was in Plt. 49.What i would like to know if by chance you may know Sgt.Giraux? i have his picture from our platoon WAY BACK IN THEM OLD DAYS LIKE 49, no not 1849 either.

I liked him then and I still today like and admire him. He went as far as he could getting us ready for Korea.if you by chance have an e-mail address of him or anyone that has his home address I sure would love to drop him a line.

I went over in the 14th rpl. draft. Was with the 81 mm and had some fine super friends. Was there in 51-52. When I left Canton Ohio I was by myself.i came back the same way. the two other guys that signed up went to boot camp and then they went home.My e-mail is ab8035@yahoo.com

Am from Canton ohio, where you can live in the corruption of politics. My Platoon sgt. was Sgt. Jerome Giraux. A great fellow. He was teachin us bayonet practicing, until they found out, and they wrote him up.
the war was coming in soon as you were aware of that. didn't have to use that toothpick, but i attacvhed it a cou[ple of times.I slightly remember a Sheehan, but that is about it. Your platoon has been the closest since i have been checking the sight.
If you care to write, my e-mail is ab8035@cyber-expressway.net David Gatto I had the rank of a buck Sgt.
