Hi, my grandfather has told me that he escorted MM when she performed for the Marines. I would really like any pictures or any information about my grandfather, Samuel Heiser. He doesn't talk much about the war but he has mentioned this to me. Thank you, April

I dont't have any pictures and don't know anyone who does but I do remember seeing MM. She was at an outdoor theatre back at 1st Div.HQs probably late summer,1953. I remember she wore a purple dress and sang "diamonds are a girls best friend" from a movie. After the show she rode off thru a crowd of Marines,in the back of a jeep. She then had on dungarees. The officer in charge had a hard time clearing the way. I was close enough to have touched her but probably would have lost an arm if I tried. Bill, USMC 1950-54
