My Dad Norman Van Court arrived at Parris Island January 1947 17 years old from
New Orleans. Just checking to see if any of his Marine buddies he was there with
are still around. Unfortunately our proud Marine left us in May 2020 age 91. If
anyone has any information I would appreciate or pictures.

Comments:

Does anyone have info about Platoon 55 Parris Island, SC, July 1947? I
have platoon group photo that belonged to my dad, Roy Eugene (Gene)
Webster. S/SGT was Alden (?) and SGT was Case. My dad is now
deceased but I would like to know if anyone has recorded any of the names
of the men in the photo. Sad to say that no one in our family can agree
which soldier in the picture is actually my dad, so we are asking for help.
Thank you.

Mr. Young, do you remember if there was a Marion Reece from Alabama in your platoon. I know he joined in October '47, but I don't know what platoon he was in.
