I wanted to update our users on Doug Karr's blog and new
Facebook page.
Be sure to see:

Since we get a lot of email and calls about asbestos and
cancer, Doug's pages have many reference articles for you
to use.

Heads up for all our BBS readers: We are posting important
data about this serious illness:
From Doug Karr:
In addition to information about mesothelioma, we provide a
wide range of veteran information. Being a Navy veteran
myself, I have the unique opportunity to connect with
countless vets each day, and I do this through my email
outreach efforts, but also through my blog, via our very
popular Twitter account, and via our Facebook page.
Our site, unlike other mesothelioma sites, has resources
for veterans not only related to this type of cancer, but
related to other health issues that vets face (Hepatitis C,
PTSD) among other topics.
You can view our entire veteran section by visiting
http://www.mesothelioma.com/veterans_and_mesothelioma.htm
You will see along the left-hand side links to other topics
of relevance to vets, as well as a link to my Blog and our
Twitter account. Our Blog gives me the opportunity to cover
a wide range of issues pertinent to vets, as do our Twitter
and Facebook accounts. In other words - - we offer a well-
rounded assortment of always-updating veteran information,
which sets us apart from the other sites you previously
worked with.
I am in a great position to spread awareness about this
disease, which has no cure - a high percentage of
mesothelioma sufferers are veterans, and of them, 30% are
Navy vets, so this is obviously close to my heart.
