I was looking for anyone that was on the bridge when the ship took the hit August 1952 I have heard from 2 guys who sent me some materials concerning the Thompson but one was off prior to 1952 and the other couldn't give me an awful lot. Its for the Son of one of the wounded Edward Minto who was a storekeeper seaman at the time. Minto passed away suddenly a few years after discharge (at age 26)When his son was only 3 years old and a daughter who wasn't born yet at the time of his passing. Mrs.Minto died during surgery a few years later and now the kids who are adults would like some info as to how the father was wounded. Anyone who can give me some info please Email me.
