Hello There; I was aboard the LSIL 1091 for the time of 8/31/51 to 7/31/52. I was one of thirteen ships company which had two hundred corpmen and Doctors attached with FEDCU 1. Although I am not aware of Gen. Sams. At that time Dr.Comander Warton was in charge of FEDCU 1. We were docked at the Koje-DO dock off and on as we sailed north of the 38th. and back. W.H. Hammans,JTJG.USN was the ship's captain. Our authorized serve medals for that period, Japanese Occupantion Ribbon,Uniter Nations Medal,Korean Service Medal and three engagement stars on our KSM. Former sailor Gene.
