My Father, Laverne Chauncy Harris died in 1952 or the beginning of 1953 on board his ship. My Mother said she could find out hardly anything except that he was found dead in his bunk. No one would tell her anything. She said she was 'encouraged' NOT to persue any info. She said her widows benifits were threatened if she did. She was pregnant for me when he died and was young and scared so she didn't pry.. I NEED to know the truth of his death and would like anyone who may have known him to please contact me via E-mail.
