I served aboard the Happy Valley On the 1st and 3rd Korean cruises in VC-11. We were the detachment that had Guppys, the planes with the large radar domes under the plane. We were the extended eyes for the Fleet. The winter of 51/52 was very very very cold. I retired in 1974 and moved to St. Clairsville, Ohio-- At this writing I am 77 years. God Bless All Valley Forge Sailors

The name of the movie was "Silent Running" with Bruce Dern as the only human in the picture, for most of its length.
I served aboard the Happy Valley from Jan 1949 to Oct 1952 in the catapult crew.
