Do not remember your father. I served on the AVP 49 from the time it was put back
in commission at Mare Island in 1952 to July of 1954.

My dad, RALPH KVIDERA, from Tama County Iowa was stationed
on the ORCA in Hong Kong. He loved it there, had many great
stories and brought home some nice silk paintings. Anyone
remember my dad? He passed away in 2009 in Hudson, Iowa.
