I recently came across a reference about a US/UK joint effort to salvage a MIG 15 that had sunk near shore after a water landing. I have several books on Navy diving history but have not found a reference about this particular effort. Do any of you have information about this salvage effort? Information such as units involved and the outcome of the effort.
As a former navy hard hat diver I'm always interested to learn of 'new' stories of Navy salvage events and would be happy to hear about other diving related events from the Korean War.
