My grandfather Norman "J" Cross drove one of the boats that dropped off service men onto the beaches at Okinawa, & Korea's first invasion. Wanting to know if anyone knew him & any stories of those encounters would be great. He was from Charleston, WVA. Thanks,
Matt Cross

I am searching for as much information as I can regarding a beach invasion that the Montague AKA-98 was involved in near Inchon. My father was aboard that ship and drove an LCVP in that invasion. He was the only survivor aboard his LCVP. I can not find any information and he does not talk about it. He does believe it was a covert diversion used to detract enemy forces away from Inchon prior to MacArthurs famous landing and invasion of Inchon. He has been told it didn't happen and I can find no record of such an incident. Any help would be great. He was aboard the Montague from 1952-1954. His name is Robert Vitalie. Thank you.
