I am looking for any crewmwmbers from the ocean-going tug USS Seminole that was attacked by three Japanese destroyers and sunk on 25 October 1942 on the north side of Guadalcanal Island. My second cousin, Motor Machinists Mate 2c William Richard "Billy Dick" Slough, was the only crewmember killed in that action.
I am doing "family tree" research and am interested in any information about his death.
