I was an Aviation Storekeeper (mostly) stationed at VU-4, NAS, Chincoteague,
Va from 1951-1955. I would like to hear from anyone who knew me or served
there then. I was fortunate to be designated "Blue Jacket of the Month 2x -
-1953 and 1954. Played basketball and umpired softball. Can't remember but a
couple of names. Richard Earl Pearson was one; Hugh Kiessling (deceased) who
went on the USS Coral Sea in 1952. I visited it but a bum leg kept on land.
Flew as a non-crewmember on those old WWII planes. Loved the Navy.

Dad never had the chance to meet neither one of my children

Hi. I am the daughter of George Worden. I know he served
during the Korean War for the navy. I don't remember the
name of his ship. I believe it began with a B. He was a
private. He never talked much about the war. He told me a
couple funny stories about him and his buddies. One was
that they wanted to get out of guard duty and they rubbed
themselves down with poison ivy and my dad was the only one
who wasn't effected. He found out he was immune to it. Ha
ha. I would like to talk to any of his buddies to find out
more information about him back then and what they all went
through. He passed away back in 1988 at the age of 55.
Thank you so much for any information.
