Served on the Lake Champlain in 1955.Assigned to 'B' Div.,and worked in #2 Boiler Room and the oil shack.
I was on Darrell Dayton's watch he waas a BT1,good man.
Most of the men in #2 Fire room were aboard when the ship was in Korea. in I arrived Jan.19,1955 in Algiers,Algeria(17 yrs. old)Finished the Cruise,and went back to the states with the ship.
I left the ship that same year for Naval Station Coco,Solo,C.Z..Spent two years there,and went to the Saratoga(CVA-60).I was an Engineman on the Sara.
