I showed up a Camp Hovey in July of '87. Half of the Cohort Tomahawk
Company had left the day before I got there and the other half that remained
had to stay about a month. Love extended for another year and I was in the
same platoon as him for the DMZ Mission from Sept to Dec 1987. CPT Boyd
Brooks was the Company Commander and he was eventually replaced by CPT
Kanamine.

Because you were located by the pool and bowling alley, I knew right away
that you were in B Company because they did not change the company name,
just the battalion name. My prior military experience was with Charlie
Company, 504th Infantry, ABN at Fort Bragg, '76 to '79.

Eventualy, the remaining Cohort guys started to leave and it was kinda sad
in that they had been together since Basic Trng-about 4 years- and were in
many cases very close friends.

Don't remeber much, except our company was next to the outdoor pool and
bowling alley. Here are some guys names: Offut, Cook, Mechelkie, Hartman,
Gruver, Ross, Bishop, Fauts, Palko, Love, Roland, Edie, Bengamin Mc Clintok,
Felder, Decker, Fallstadt, Sgt. Levis.

I also remember one of the dmz lp/op was burned down, north korean flag at
half mast, chaka khan and Loretta Lynn came.

Sullivan stabbed Rico in head with a tent peg. Love punched Mechelke.
Mechelkie hit marine in face with pool que. Offut and cook beat up fouts.
Fouts attacked zamora. Ross broke new glasses in bar fight. Cook broken
hearted over seattle girlfriend. Sgt. Johnson went awol in TDC. Crazy guys.
Tomahawk!
