I served with the 1st Battalion 9th Infantry at Camp
Greaves Korea from 1983 to 1984 and according to Army
Regulation 600-8-22 the following applies to a
retroactive award of the CIB

Effective 11 January 2007, the special requirements for
award of the CIB for service in Korea on the
demilitarized zone was rescinded. Army veterans and
service members who served in Korea on or after 28 July
1953 and meet the criteria for award of the CIB may
submit an application (to include supporting
documentation) for award of the badge to Commander, U.S.
Army Human Resources Command, 1600 Spearhead Division
Avenue, Fort Knox, KY 40122.

Army Regulation 600-8-22 (Military Awards) provides
policy, criteria, and administrative instructions
concerning military awards and decorations. Paragraph 8-
6 provides, in pertinent part, that there are basically
three requirements for award of the CIB. The Soldier
must be an infantryman satisfactorily performing infantry
duties, he must be assigned or attached to an infantry
unit of brigade, regimental or smaller size during such
time as the unit is engaged in active ground combat, and
he must actively participate in such ground combat with
his infantry unit.

I cannot find on the internet what form is used to submit
a request to be awarded the CIB, If anyone knows post the
information please

Especially looking for anyone who served in 1968 - 69 in 2d Eng Bn or worked any with 2d Engineer units who have been approved on an Agent Orange Claim.
