I was at Camp Matta early in 1969 with B company, 2nd Bn 31st Inf Reg. 7th Inf
Div. I was a cook in the mess hall along with pulling some guard duty in a tower
and a fox hole. What a time it was..cold cold cold.....

September 70 - April 71, 17K Radar section, worked nights on Hendrix - Dessart.
Then to Camp Casey 3/32 until October 71. What was the name of the E6 TOC NCOIC
that quit that winter? Anybody?

I was at Camp Matta from September 1970 to March 1971. Recon section, HHC,
1st, 31st, 7th Div.
My recon section was responsible for escorting supplies and VIP's to 3 Guard
Posts: Turner, Hendrix and Dessart and many foot patrols in the area of those
guard posts. Been to the Demarcation Line many times. The 7th Division was
sent home and we were transferred to the Recon section, HHC, 1st, 2nd
Division at Camp Casey.
