Looking for anyone who served on the DMZ (Camp Greves) from 1978 - 1979. Assigned to B Co 1/9 Inf and walked the Freedom Bridge. SSG William Mack was the PLT SGT and SSG Patrick M, Coffey was the assistant. I beleive we were all exposed to herbicides and I was diagnosed with PTSD due to the patrols on the DMZ and walking that dynamited 'Freeedom Bridge'. If there are any of my comarades still alive with medical conditions such as type II diabetes, PTSD, and children with spinal damage please contact me asap. The VA continues to ssay that they stopped using herbicides on the DMZ in 1977 but we all know tha's not true. 'Keep Up the Fire' and don't 'Choke on the Smoke'.

I was in 'B'co,2/23rd inf. From Oct.'68-Dec.'69.
I got there just in time to start my 4 month visit
to Camp Greaves and the DMZ. After my 2 week quarintine
I got to do my first visit to the DMZ fenceline. My first
night there PFC James Lenox, who I was in a tower with,
was shot in the leg, while walking the fence. Welcome to the DMZ!! From their, it was all downhill,What a S___ Place. After over 4 years fighting with the VA, Im
finally getting Comp for AO exposure/ Diabetes, and neuropathy in both legs, I get 40% for these,Im also getting Comp for PTSD, its only 10% now, but its still in progress.Would like to hear from anyone their at the same time, Especially anyone that knows Doc Torres, he was a HQ platoon Medic, who dealt with 'B'co sick call

Hi to all
I am told by the Va that the PFC white incident never happened, the chopping down of the trees on the Z never happened, captain Bonefast wes never killed, there was no incidents on the Z that involve American troops.

What are they doing, i was even told my units were never on the Z.
what is the Government doing, why don't they want to talk about the Z in Korea?

I stumbled on this site, very cool. It would be nice to
hear from those who served along the DMZ. I was tehre in 1972-1973 with the Scout Platoon, 1/31st Infantry. Like Rich Camp, spent a bunch of days out tehre but between the GPs! It would be good to hear from some of the old Imjim Scouts.
