Served as a medical platoon leader in the The Old Guard in 1962-63. Believe
it was in Un Chon Ni. Col Marcus Powell was the commander.

arrived in Kaiser 3/61 from ft. benning,ga.c co. 2nd bg--
3rd inf, gunner on 81mm mortor. 4th platoon. spent over 1
year at Kaiser, then got extended and sent to casey for 3
months. would like to hear from others who were there then
and maybe same outfit

HQ Co. Driver for first sergeant, three or four months.
Davy Crockett platoon, Combat Support Co. for the remainder
of the tour.

62..then to Casey....landed back stateside july62...Assigned
to Com Co CDEC FT. ORD TILL DISCHARGE JAN 63.

at Camp Kaiser.
I was the B Company 81mm Mortar Section Fire Direction Computer
(person, not device) from 2/1960 till 3/1961.
