I was in Korea from late 67 to early 69. I was in HHC, 1st. Battalion 9th
Infantry. I was in Commo and helped resupply both Dort and Mazie. On one occasion
there was a brief incident of incoming fire from the zone and I got a cut on my
wrist from shrapnel or something. I was told by my CO that that would qualify me
for the Purple Heart. I rotated back stateside a few months later and never heard
any more about the Purple Heart.

I was stationed with B company 702nd
Maint at Blue lancer Valley Oct 1966 - Feb 1968. I was across the river
several times. I was always happy to get back across to BLV. I remember when
the mess hall got blown up. Those were some scary times.
