I was stationed Charlie company 1/72 Armor 1971-1972 and we was at the base of the
mountain. Our quasentHut was the at the top next to fence by guard tower. I have
to go thru my pictures and I might have some of our area and the mountain. John

I was searching the internet for old photos of TDC, and
Casey. Saw a few taken of a "Stairway to Heaven". For
the life of me, I can't remember this stairway.
Also couldn't find hardly anything of the old TDC that
I was familiar with, the great flood seems to have
destroyed everything familiar to me.
So sad I miss my dirty old ville, so much

Comments:

I am working on a Web Page about Camp Casey, and am now working on the area known in the early years as Happy Valley, and in more recent years as Dragon Valley. This is the area on the side of Soy Son Mountain. I am trying to find which units were there, and what years. Also need some pictures from the 1955-70 time frame.

So far, I know that:
The 17h Transportation Bn was there from 1957-1963
The 2/31 Infantry was there from around 1968
The 2/72 Armor is there now.

If anyone can add to this please post here, or email to me. If you have pictures from the 1955-70 time frame, PLEASE email them to wd4ngb@charter.net

Thanks
Bruce Richards
