Hal and Ted,
Don’t let some malcontent discourage you from all the wonderful things you have
done for the KW Vets and their families. I received nothing but exceptional
support from you both. My father was KIA in Korea when I was a baby. My Dad was a
fighter pilot with VF 874. My mother never wanted to talk about my Dad. So I knew
very little about my father’s experience in Korea. I didn’t even know how he died.
The Korean War project helped me get connected with several my Dad’s flying mates.
I learned so much about my father from these contacts that only happened through
the Korean War Project!
God Bless-Hal and Ted! Y’all are heroes to me.

I just read that letter from Bill R Doyle cc Lou Dechart. Should have before now I know. I just wonder where in Korea he served or what his MOS was. To not appreciate the efforts you 2 put into this project just baffles me Would not mind meeting this person for a few minutes - even at my age and all - I bet I could quickly convince him he should not talk to or about decent folk like he has. You 2 are doing a great service and I know most everybody that finds your site appreciate the efforts. dave rizer

Clearly you do not have the knowledge to appreciate what this site has done for so many DMZ vets who were told it "wasn't really a war..." and were so young they believed it. For many of us who never found a clear definition for what we did or how we were received at home Hal and Ted have put a voice to the thoughts we had locked away in our the private corners of our souls. I cannot speak to other people's experiences but having spent four years in the "Z" I can state with no hesitance that neither MR Doyle nor anyone else (except perhaps my wife) knows JACK about MY experiences nor I might add about the nightmares I continue to deal with more than a quarter century later. Hal and Ted gave me the opportunity to recognize that I was not alone in my reflections and I thank them wholeheartedly for that. GDT

My name is as follows:

E mail Address:

Korean Service 1954-55

Please remove my e mail address from your address book.

I do not wish to be associated with, in any way, a money hustling scheme to solicit money from Korean Veterans, especially from someone who is not a Veteran and especially not a Korean war veteran.

You need to get a real job and stay off the backs of Korean Veterans.

There is a National Monument in Washington D. C. If you are so interested in Korean Veterans, give to the maintenance fund of the National Monument.

If you need or want a computer and copy machine, BUY ONE. Leave the Korean Veterans Alone. Stop asking the Veterans to give you money.

Hustlers like you are THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.

Again, Please remove me from your address book. I Don"t want my name to be connected to you in any way.

Bill R. Doyle
