36th Engineer (C) Group HQ & HQ - Looking for anyone who served in Korea during the Korean the conflict affiliated with the HQ & HQ Company 36th Engineer Group - IX Corps Engineers. We were located during 1953 below the Iron Triangle between and below Chorwan and Kumhwa near a shelled out town named Tae-de-gul. Interested in the whereabouts and status of members who served in this outfit at that time and would like to get in touch with any veterans to exchange views and recollections. We were located alongside Route 22 east of MSR-3 near Tae-de-gul, which meant Little River Bridge. There was also a small stream nearby also not far from 44th MASH and a small water reservoir. Some of our working quarters were bunkers in a small hill. Affiliated Units – The 11th, 74th, 194th, 378th Engineer Battalions – 76th Dump Truck Company – 86th Engineer Searchlight Company – 323rd Engineer Company Light – 1437th Engineer Treadway Bridge Company.
