PLEASE HELP!!! I'm attempting to determine the Company ( and / or Battalion) asignment of a soldier who served with the 17th Inf. Regt. during the Korean War era, 1950 - 1954. His name was; PVT.(E-2) PERLEY L. BURDICK, asn ER-22810252, from Washington County, Rhode Island. He had just turned 19 years old when was WIA for the first time. Perley passed away back on Aug. 9, 1985. I'm positive he was in the 17th, but I can't seem to determine which Company he was assigned to. He served from Nov. 6, 1950 to Oct. 18, 1951. He was twice WIA while with the 17th, on Feb. 21, 1951 & again on Aug. 31, 1951. ( He was in the Hospital for 9 weeks from the 2/27/51 wound, & for 3 weeks from the 8/31/51 wound. )IF ANYONE HAS A 17th INF. UNIT HISTORY OR ROSTER, WOULD THEY PLEASE SEE IF THEY CAN LOCATE A PVT. PERLEY L. BURDICK. ( Burdick = last name) I've been seeking his Company assignment now for over a year, but to no avail. I'm interested in ANY information available about Pvt.
