Move into postion on a hill dont know what the hill no. was but if any of the men that read this I am sure they will remember it very well.I think we were on the hill one night on nov .5th about 4 or 5 in the morning the 1st plt. being on the front of the hill called for us me being in the 4th. plt. to put some flares up we did then all hell broke loose. horns whisels the 1st . and 2nd plt. put up a hell of a battle it lasted for about 4 hrs. sgt. Earl r cambell and pfc. pearc. were two heros on that hill from what i heard , anyway the chineese got behind us and were shooting from the rear i thik m co. was on our right flank but ion the meantime day light arrived i gess the captian had called in for some air strikes at first the navy corsare planes did some naplaming you could feel the heat from them on our side of the hill. Mean time 2 f 8os jets arrived because we did not change the panels the next day we didnot have the right colors and layout the f. 8os fired on our hill. We finly pulled back about a mile or so and held on there we finely got to eat our rations and so thats what i remember the most maybe because it was our on jets that made me remember I know one thing the rifle plts. put up one hell of a battle for 2 or 3 hours i am very proud too have severed with G. co 4th. plt. One of the stories i remember.
