Hello. I am looking for anyone who knew my grandfather, George Norman Stevens
Jr.

He was drafted in Maryland in November of 1951 and sent to Camp Breckinridge,
KY for basic training. He was assigned to the 40th Infantry Division in
January 1952. He was then assigned to the 5th RCT, 555th FAB, 72nd Engineer
Company and served in Korea until the end of the war in 1953.

His brothers James A Stevens and John Robert Stevens also served during the
Korean War, with James being stationed in Alaska.

I was with c company from 1950 to the latter part of 1952 ,after reading the
latest VFW June July 2020 article about Korea seems like the 5th. Was not
there, even though we were the outfit that spearheaded out of the Pusan
premature up to Taeajon ,the article has it that the Inchon landing opened up
the Pusan premature.

I am looking for any info on my dad Sgt. Jack B. Sheppard.
Dad served with the Army 5th RCT in Korea from July 52-thru July 53. I would like to know any info possible as he never spoke a word of his service in Korea. I Have his DD214 and he was awarded CIB, Bronze Star, and Korean Presidential Unit Citationto name a few. I have tried in vain to find what circumstances these awards were given for. ANY help would be greatly appreciated. e-mail me @
jsheppard57@yahoo.com ( Also, what company,division, etc.)
