Hello, I’m the granddaughter of a veteran from the 552 Sig Base Maint Co. My grandfather was Robert Harris. I know he did training in Georgia at some point. He was sent overseas at one point but I have no family left with knowledge of his locations and am curious if anybody may have known him and if so maybe any pictures or if or where I would go about finding his army records. He passed away in 2014 at the age of 83 and was a great grandfather and I’d love to have more knowledge of this part of his life which he never spoke of. He was born in Lexington,Kentucky and grew up poor and his mother died when he was young. Any information is helpful. Thank you and God bless.
