My grandfather, Morgan Carl Deskins served in the US Army in Korea and in Tokyo (discharged in 1950 from Tokyo) but we have very little information other than he was in the 3170 Signal Battalion from Camp Atterbury in Indiana. He is from West Virginia and was enlisted twice. He was only out a few months from Korea when he re-enlisted and went to Tokyo.
Does anyone have any information on him or any of the people he may have been involved with? Do you know where I may find more information on his military life? He passed away when my father was only 9yrs old so he does not remember much and I (obviously) never got to meet him.
