Hello, it’s probably to late but my father in law is Tony Panalsek who was in
Germany. He is still living age 91 and sharp as a tack. God bless you for trying
to find his mates from those days.

My grandfather, CPL ED OXLEY, is 81 years old and I recently found an old
photo of his section -- AAA IS. He wisely wrote names on the back --
CPL Henson, PFC Culberson, PFC Premeaux, PFC Sternfels, PFC
Oetting, PFC Stelzig, PFC Leudecke, PFC Beauchamp, PFC Yoder, PFC
Panalsek, SGT Manning, PFC Sonke, and PFC Cass.

I asked if he'd be interested to see if anyone was still around (he said
yes),
but it's not so easy to look guys up by last name when I don't have an
infantry or battalion or anything.

My grandfather enlisted in Kansas but said a lot of the guys he served with
were from Texas. More photos list Camp Kilmer, then he was in Germany
for the majority of 1954 in Hanau. He talked about going to a swimming
hole while he was there, and I found a photo of him that has "Windecken
swimming hole" written on the back.
Another photo says "Waiting for an air-strike. Kaichen, Germany. 1954."

Please contact if you know my grandpa, or if you were even in Germany at
that time. I'm sure he'd just love to swap stories!
