Looking for anyone that may have served with my dad in Korea, Joe Egan from South Boston, Ma. Around 1950. He did not talk much about that but extremely affected. He suffered greatly! He was the poster child for what now is diagnosed as post traumatic stress disorder. My limited research shows many did not speak of their experiences. My mom says he came home a very different man that went in. He served first at the end of wwII. When discharged the army paid them a few hundred dollars to stay active.... They did not know of the conflict, but he was home only a couple of weeks before being called back up to be the first in the Korean War. I hope there are still some around to tell their stories!
