I am looking for any information out there regarding my father's service in Korean War. According to records I have obtained from the National Archives, he served as a Corporal at Headquarter Battery 24th Infantry Division Artillery, APO-24, 24th Division from 10/18/1950 through 9/22/1951. Family history indicates my father drove a jeep to transport the General throughout the countryside. Information I have obtained from the National Archives indicates the generals serving in Korea during that time included Maj Gen John H. Church 7/29/1950 and Maj Gen Blackshear M. Bryan 1/26/1951. Any information you might be able to share regarding my father's service in Korea would be greatly appreciated as all national records related to his service were destroyed in a fire at the archives in St. Louis, MO on 7/12/1973. Thanks.
