Someone must have served with in I Co, 3d Bn, 2d Div
durng the period in question. All we get is sorry, no
answers. Through our own investigation we do know that one
of the five men on this patrol (James D. Joyce) is alive
and living in Buffalo, NY, however, his wife refused to let
him talk to me. My cell is 734-778-3575, if anyone has the
least little piece of information please call.

Information from anyone that served with Co 'I', 9th Infantry Regiment, 2d ID during the period November 1, 1952 thru December 31, 1953, that might have known of and/or knew Cpl Edgar M. Lininger, RA16294349, this is concerning his MIA/KIA status. It is believed that Cpl Lininger was leading a combat patrol in the Chorwon Valley area, the night of November 13, 1952, it is also believed the five man patrol came under fire, Lininger, Parker, Watson, Joyce, and Nunez, all reported as MIA's, however, Joyce and Nunez although wounded made there way back to 'I' Co. Lininger, Parker, and Watson continued MIA and presumed KIA December 31, 1953. The remains of Parker and Watson have believed recovered. Remains of Lininger have yet to be recovered. His sister (my wife) still has hope that his remains will be found. We are getting older and hope to close this out without the cloud
over our heads. Thank You, if you are able to help.

Would like to hear from anyone that served in Co 'I', 9th Inf Regt, 2d ID during the period November 13, 1952 and December 31, 1953. This is concerning Cpl Edgar M. Lininer, KIA November 13, 1952 and presumed KIA December 31, 1953. This was in the Chorwon Area. It is believed that two EM (Pfc Nunez and Pfc Joyce) were wounded in this action and returned to their unit, while Lininger, Parker, and Watson were KIA. It has been a long time and Edgar's sister (my wife) still has hope his remains will be found.
