I have a photo of my father, Jerome Raskob, now deceased, in front of a tent in Inchon Korea, with the sign, '369 Replacement Co. 110 Replacemtn BN AGC ROtation Headquarters' but don't know year or other details. My father was in charge of some kind of telecommunications (switching?) in Inchon in early 1950s. Would love to have details! Thanks, Katherine

I was in Korea from 1951 to 1953 with battery A 15th
AAA WB 7th division in Jan.10,1951
You may remember me for this.near Sinjumak, korea
on Jan. 10,1951 I was awarded the Silver Star.
My M-19 tracked vehicle, along with four other self-propelled automatic weapons of Battery A, was in
support of reinforced patrolof the 7th Reconnaissance
company. As the patrol entered a defile,my vehicle was the
leading element, and encountered intense enemy small arms and automatic weapons firefrom the steep hills on both
sides of the road. One of my men was killed, and had
fallen between the left 40mm gun. making the weapon
inoperative.Seeing the driver of the vehicle was
wouned I carried him to a wall of safty.
If you can find any of my buddies it will be nice
to know .

I am searching for fellow GI's or Marines who left Inchon, Korea on or about July 7, 1954 on a troop ship carrying approximately 2500 marines and approximately only 300 army personnel which took the Alaska route to San Francisco (rather than the Hawaii route) back to the states. This trip took 22 days. We were served 1 scoop of beans, 1 slice of bread and 1 cup of coffee three times per day for 22 days....This may jog your memory. If you were possibly aboard this ship, please contact me. Sincerely, John R. Lawson, Jr., PO Box 1253, Wilmington, VT 05363, Tel: 802-464-8213

My Father was captured at the same time and was listed as a POW. He never came home. VFW.com February magazine had an article on the Massacre at Hoengsong. I got this info from another person who found my name and forwarded it me. It is the most comprehensive explanation I have seen or heard as to what happened then. Check out their web site VFW.com.
My prayers are with your family-I know the pain never ends. Regards,
Mary Justus Castaldi
