I am trying to find any information about my father's service. Though he
was a conscientious objector he was a battalion medic. He was from
Brooklyn, New York.

He said that he received medic training at an old abandoned kamikaze
base in Japan before final deployment.

He may or may not have been involved with sneaking and eventually
openly distributing Army food supplies to civilian evacuees at Hungnam.

He was honorably discharged on medical reasons due to contracting
hepatitis. He convalesced in a San Francisco VA hospital, dated then later
married a nurse.

I'm sorry for the sketchiness but he only talked about his service to me
once, and that was only in general details, and will not discuss it further
with me.
