I was there from 1964-1965 working full-time in the Radio Shack that had to be
manned 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It was a micro-quonset hut located at the
bottom of that microwave antenna tower you see in older Camp Casey pictures taken
during those years.

Wish I would have found this site sooner. My grandpa was Michael Cunningham who
served in C 127th Sig. Battalion 1965-1966. He tried to look for some members up
north but he passed away in his sleep March 21st, 2015. We have a few pictures of
him from back then if anyone is curious how he made out.

Served in 127th Signal Battalion from Feb 1969 to March 1970. Looking for anyone
who might recall the unit being sent to the DMZ in April 1969 on Red Alert. I have
a case with the VA and looking for someone to corroborate my version of events. I
appreciate any help.

I'm 85 years of age and was in the headquarters company, 127th signal battalion in
1962. The Winters were cold. I remember walking down to the motor pool and trying
to start my 3/4 ton truck. We would pull our cots close to the oil burning stove
in the middle of the hooch so to try to keep warm. I liked the grilled baloney and
cheese sandwiches at the Post PX at the top of the hill. At Christmas the Red
Cross Dough-nut Dollies would bring the orphans to party with us. Santa Clause
would arrive by helicopter and land on the parade grounds. Sometimes we would go
to the service club and watch the Korean girls entertain us with a song and dance
routine. I'm thankful that I was there after the Korean war and before Vietnam.

I was stationed at 127 Post Signal as a 31M20 from 2/1968 to 4/69. Worked
telephone exchange and radio site at Evacuation Hospital site at Casey. Served
with a lot of good friends. Always wondered what happened to them. Sad to know
a few are gone.

Saw your post on KWP. I worked in the Motor Pool for 127th Sig. Bn. at Camp Casey. I was a mechanic and wrecker operator. I was in Korea from Feb. 1968 to Feb. 1969. Where are you from? Your name doesn't sound familiar to me. Where did you work? Would like to hear from you. Send me an email at w_mildren@yahoo.com
