Domingo Garcia from Port Huron, Michigan was my husband's uncle. Domingo died in action on Dec 4, 1950. He was the absolute light on his mother's life and when he died, I think she did as well. The family fell apart. Worse, in hearing of Domingo's death was a major misunderstanding of the circumstances. They thought he was deserting his position when in fact his unit was pulling back in Dec of that year with the Chinese onslaught. He was awarded several medals including the Purple Heart. The mother has since died and so has his father. We have no pictures of him or anything except the online information. If anyone has any information or pictures, we would be very grateful.
