Comments:

I was on day guard duty in valley leading up to White Horse
Mt. when first firing began. Some of our troops with Able
Battery 955 F.A.Bn. had gone to rear for U.S.O.show but
quickly returned. We fired day and night for several days,
interchanging duties, driving back and forth to replenish
rounds, throwing them off back of trucks, loading and firing
our howitzers. Experiences detailed in my published
book,Land of the Morning Calm.ISBN 1-4208-7914-6 donated to
several libraries and West Point Military Academy and
Purple Heart Hall of Honor.
