55 years ago on May 23, 1952 5 members of the 434 rd contruction bn were kia. These men were John E Johnson, Clark E Taylor, Lee G Levering, Robert J Kishbaugh and Jerome D Hatfield. I had taken basic with Kishbaugh with the 101 st airborne and was assigned to the 101st signal in Korea. On the way from Chorwon to the company in Chunchon I met Robert and he said we should get a decent job or we would get our asses shot on that hill we were on. A week or two we learned of those men being kia. Rumor was it was bypassed chinese or north koreans. We owe it to these men that never had a chance to get old to not forget them. If anyone has any information on what happened that night I would appreciate knowing about it.
