Comments:

I read this message several months ago and was too new to know much about this site, so I did not comment then.

Since then, however, I have gotten a host of information from this site and all for free. This site has allowed me to post several messages looking for members of my Company and Battalion during the 2nd Korean War.

Now, after several months, I have been contacted by 9 other former members of the 2bd Engineer Bn from 1967 to 1970 - two of them from my own Company. As the senior (former) officer among this group of Veterans of the 2nd Korean War, I am working with them doing all I can to get the needed care and compensation for damages caused by Agent Orange while we were in Korea.

It was nearly 40 years ago that I promised the men in my command that if they did as we (the Officers and NCOs) asked, directed and ordered, that I would stand up for them all the way. We took hostile fire nearly every day during our time there and not one of my 285 men was killed. Now some of these same men are being slowly killed by that 'totally harmles weed killer' and I have sworn to fight for them (us) all the way.

I said all that to say that this site has been most helpful in our on-going fight and I am thankful that this site was here. I can assure you that when my VA Claim is approved, I will send my contribution to help support your work for other Vets of the Korean WarS.

You have never asked me for a penny, yet you have provided priceless but valuable information for our guys. Keep up the good work - you will certainly be rewarded in the future by the one Judge who really counts.

God bless you both, Hal and Ted, and thank you from an old soldier who has not yet died and is not simply fading away.

I salute you both.

Phil Steward,
Captain (former), Combat Engineer,
Commanding Officer, Company E, 2nd Engineer Battalion,
2nd Infantry Division, Korea - 1968-1969

Ted & Hal,
You are doing a great job ,and our organization appreciates it. Thank you for the assistance you have given me in locating many members of the 73rd Hvy. Tank
Bn. that served so honorably, for many years, in Korea.
It really is a shame we have a few AHs, (AH is a round ,hairy ,part of the anatomy), to irritate us.
Hang in there and I hope to use your site for a long
time.Thank You very much for the time and expense you are faced with to help Veterans find old buddies.
Curtis Banker

Mt Doyle should go piss up a tree. He don't know a damn thing about the Korean War. He also seems to know damn little about The Korean War Project. I was there from Inchon to Pusan and all the way to Hysanjin on the Yalu.

I don't really know who this guy Bill Doyle is nor would
I care to meet him. Ted, you and Hal have done a wonderful job with this site and I have enjoyed so much my looking up my old units, the 560th MP Co in Pusan Korea and also some of the other units where I had friends. I left Korea in 1954 after the war and I note that this fellow Doyle was not there during the war so he has no idea of what went on. You can always find someone who wants to rant and rave and be an eyesore on the rest of us Korean Vets. Please keep up the good work and do not let this guy get under your skin.

This person that wrote this vile letter need to get him self a Thesaurus his vocabulary in short supply. With one he could have done a better job of trying to put some one down. This site has given the Korean War Veteran a place that we can help those that need to bring some closure and at the same time let them pass on to other what they know what happen to they unit and to those that served in them. When you are doing a good job some yahoo want to drag you down. Some need to spend more time trying to rebuild Louisana and less time trying to stop those that are helping Korean Veteran THANK FOR ALL THAT YOU HAVE DONE FOR US Forty Yards

I also find this message very offensive! I am a Korean Veteran and if it had not been for this site run by Hal and Ted, I would not have been able to find some of my war buddies that are now my dearest friends and we meet with our wives each year and enjoy each others friendship after so many years. We also keep in touch during the year between our reunions.
Also I would not have not known about Cold Injury if it had not been for this site and contacted Becky Childers through here. With her dedicated help and knowledge, after three years I finally received recognition that I did have Cold Injury.
Hal & Ted, keep up the good work you have been doing for us Korean Vets and ignore the offensive remarks.
Thanks so much for what you do for the Veterans!

He is one WEIRD guy. This site is all about providing information, and helping Korean Vets to connect with each other. What does his group do different?

I find that message very offensive. If it wasn't for the Korean War Project, I wouldn't have been able to help so many veterans around the United States with reunions and with their cold injury problems, and I do it as a volunteer. The Korean War Project also helped me reunite my Dad with 28 of his fellow comrades before he died of ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease)and nobody will ever take that experience and heart warming reunion away.

Keep up the great work that you do Hal and Ted, we all respect you and thank you for what you have done for the Korean War Veterans everywhere and for somebody like me, who is a daughter of a Korean War Veteran.

THANK YOU........always

Becky

Please remove my e mail address from your address book.

I do not wish to be associated with, in any way, a money hustling scheme to solicit money from Korean Veterans, especially from someone who is not a Veteran and especially not a Korean war veteran.

You need to get a real job and stay off the backs of Korean Veterans.

There is a National Monument in Washington D. C. If you are so interested in Korean Veterans, give to the maintenance fund of the National Monument.

If you need or want a computer and copy machine, BUY ONE. Leave the Korean Veterans Alone. Stop asking the Veterans to give you money.

Hustlers like you are THE SCUM OF THE EARTH.

Again, Please remove me from your address book. I Don't want my name to be connected to you in any way.
