My brother was in this outfit during part of 1952 and Jan 53. He is deceased now, but I still have his papers and a few pictures. He was a auto-mechanic on the jeeps and weapons carriers in his unit. He spoke of 'Old Baldy' more than any other hills in the area. His outfit was stationed in a valley behind an infantry unit. He said they fared pretty good as long as the Army was in their front, but caught hell when the Marines replaced the Army unit. I have pictures of a ROK soldier named 'Jack' that was my brothers friend. He spoke of a Sgt. Parks that had driven a 2 1/2 ton over a mine. I also have pictures of that truck. He and Parks were good friends but I don't know where Parks was from (Texas ?). He always wondered if Parks made it out of Korea.
