I was born 12/12/1952 in Seoul, Korea. My mother was Hong, Soon Oak. After my birth-father left, she married a Republic of Korea Captain named Song. (Possibly he knew my father) I was adopted by a couple in the United States in 1958; I have been married for thirty years and have two grown and successful children. In the early 1990s, I was reunited with my Korean half-brothers and sisters, but, unfortunately, my birth mother had died in 1987. I know that my mother was a nurse in a Children's Hospital in Seoul and I have pictures of her holding me in approximately March of 1953. The pictures were probably taken by my father. On the back of the pictures is: F3856 or possibly G3856. I'm not sure what the numbers designate. Maybe they are a 'laundry tag' or the first letter of the surname and last four digits of the service number. I have basically no other information regarding my father. If you have any information or know what F3856 mean, please email me. Ed
