My father such a quite man did so much. He was 17 Inf. Regt.23 Hq 165 if I'm correct. And road his ambulance truck in hell to save all his buddies and anyone he could with out a gun. Only the truck and will to keep his buddies alive during pork chop from what I understand. I would love to hear more to understand .

I was on PorkChop Feb-July 1953 Platoon-Sgt of 17th Inf Regt ATM Platoon my platoon was on that hill almost every day/night laying barb-wire around entire top of hill and mines/boobytraps during the entire time, we were attacked numerous times during this period - Jan-July 1953 and at wars end 7th Div 17th Regt. evacuated the entire hill How Smart Was That; think about how many lives were lost in that battle and then it was given up to Chinese in Pan Mu Jon??? Glad to see end of war but, Still bitter :-((((
