10/9/04- Am writing as I saw your thread and MY dad was also in the 45th Division Thunderbirds out of the Okla. National Guard, 279th Division, Co. D- he was in Korea from 1953 until 1954 and was on the 38th parallel the day the Armistice was signed...during what time was your father over there? My Dad's name is Leo Desmarais- he was a Corporal, and he served for a time as a guard of the Chinese prisoners on Chejudo Island...if they served during the same time, could you tell me more about the other men you know about in his company, names, etc, so that I can ask him what he remembers of them?- Thanks- Elaine Pierce..ecountymayo@aol.com
