I was In Korea in the early part of 1957, was then the 34inf. Div, was
taken over by 1st Cav. I was transferred to the 5th Calv Regiment where I
spent the rest of my time in Korea. I was near the village of Moon sine. I
do remember this is where the train tracks changed so North Korean trains
could not come any farther into S Korea. I do know that we were no to far
from the DMZ. Was there one time & it doesn't look like the pictures that we
see on TV. Have seen Seoul on Google Earth & it has really changed. will be
glad to visit with anyone about Korea. I left Korea in June of 1958.

Thanks: F R

Looking for anyone who knew my father. He was in Korea 56, 57, part of
58. I have information that says he was 1st Cavalry Division APO 24. His
memory isn't very good, and I don't have access to his records. Also
looking for the nearest villages. Thank you.

Does anyone know where Hq & Hq Co 1st Cav APO 24 was stationed in Korea from June of '60 to June of '61? My father can't remember what camp or village he was in. He told us (years ago) that he remembered guarding tanks and being able to see North Korea. I've been given other information that has me thinking he was stationed near the DMZ, but not sure. Any help in finding this location would be greatly appreciated!
Kristi
