Thanks again to all who replied. The Memorial Service will be held in the Freeport High School auditorium 22 May at 11:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend.

We had an eighth name, Danny O'Keefe, US Army, who was reportedly KIA, but we cannot confirm this.

These seven will not be forgotten.

A big thankyou to all who responded with info and suggestions. I was able to confirm that all four were from Freeport at ABMC.GOV. I was also given an additional name, CPL Ronald A Canfield, class of '49 FHS, as being KIA. That is seven who will honored at the memorial service.

Comments:

A memorial service is being planned in Freeort High School for two Marines KIA 1953. In the process of planning, four names came up as also being from Freeport, but on this KWP site, it only lists them as being from Nassau County. I'm hoping someone will remember them and confirm this for me so they also can be honored.
