Becky,

Thanks for the inquiry. We do need more member/donors.
We have only a small portion of those who use the site as active donors.

Those folks make all this possible.

We have lost contact with many thousands of folks due to the huge spam and virus activity over the past two years.

I finally took a week and stuck my head in my programming books to get the code worked out to send email notices for renewal of memberships and sponsorships. Sent out
about 1900 so far.

That has brought good results. And, we got the AOL mail block fixed after a real tussle.

How can we help? more sponsors? membership money? who can we contact? Lets not lose this wonderful site.
It has helped me tremendously with helping cold-injured veterans from around the United States- and has brought many happy veterans together. I'll do what I can - hopefully everybody will pull together!

Barry,

Thanks for the great message of support. The initiative has been a month to month effort since we first started in 1993.

Before the Internet, I used FIDO and UUCP email to connect to veterans to assist Hal with his history mission and support of creating a Memorial in DC.

Our Field of Dreams has far exceeded our vision, connecting us to veterans and family around the world.

Sadly, we have never resonated with the institutions and corporations who donate to military related causes.

We hope to still be here but not looking good right now.

Hal and Ted

Gentlemen: Pardon the insulting bellow. No offense meant. I did it to catch your attention--For a deadly serious cause. And that is--The Korean War Project is going to die, unless we save it. Unless we all band together again, as we did once before, in the Land of the Morning Calm. You know the problem: Not enough money to pay the bills. Ted and Hal Barker have been our good friends for many years, when others had long forgotten us and our Forgotten War. Now it is time to do our duty and repay the debt we owe the Barkers--for providing us with this free website and all the BlabRooms we frequent here at our leisure. A few bucks from everyone will keep this haven open. So pony up, and pass the word, SOS. We did it before and we can do it again. (Nice old song, that.) Peace and health to you all, good-looking troopers every one, I'm absolutely sure----BB, USMC
