I've posted this site before, but wanted to list it again, this site has alot of the old Japanese songs on it.
There is a different version of China Night, there is Tango Bushi and others. My Dad enjoyed this site alot!

Father was in Army for 22 years. Stationed in Yokohama from 2-47 thru 5-49. He was 2nd Lt. Gilbert Herman, in quartermaster corp. He was a character of the world, drank quite a bit, always made friends where ever we were stationed, and in Japan made many friends. One evening he brought home Japan's top female singer and her husband, and she had the then-current hit out, China Nights. We had it on 78, and even tho I was just a child, I can still sing parts of it today. Very interesting that this song is on web-site! She (the singer) entertained us for three, four hours. Would be interested in buying a copy of the 1940's version from anyone who has it on 78.

Thanks.

Hi--
I have seen alot of inquiries regarding this song and it was one of my Dads Favorites -while looking for the song I actually found the parody of it on a website.
You need to scroll all the way down and click on the picture of Mt. Fuji to hear the version of She aint got no yoyo

Enjoy!
